Back Home Again!

After boys’ weekend, I had to go out of town for business.  I came back late Friday night.  I was tired, so I slept in a little on Saturday morning.  Mommy and Eric were already up, and Mommy had started cooking some bacon.  Mommy came in to the bedroom to wake me up.  “The bacon is ready, and we are hungry.”  I got the hint.  It was time to get up and make pancakes for breakfast.  When I came out to the living room, Eric was very excited to see me!  He jumped up and gave me a big hug!  I was just as excited to see him, and I returned the hug!

On Sunday, I moved the cars out of the garage, so I could get into the attic for our Christmas decorations.  Eric helped me clean out the car.  Later, after all of the boxes were out of the attic, Eric wanted to see inside the attic.  I helped Eric climb the ladder to get a look.  He thought everything up there was so cool!

Tonight, I took Eric to his room for bed time.  Our usual routine is for Eric to pick a book from his shelf, and we read it to each other.  Sometimes I read the book, and sometimes Eric wants to read the book.  We take turns.  When we finish the book, we sing lullabies to each other.  Tonight, I sang “Mary Had a Little Lamb”.  Eric almost always chooses the songs.  Once in a while, I get to sing any song that I want, but mostly Eric picks the songs.  After I finished singing, Eric said that he wanted to sing me a lullaby.  I lay my head down while he sang to me.  He sang three full verses of “Mary Had a Little Lamb” to me.  The song has four verses that we sing together.  Eric sang three of them all by himself.  He has such a good memory for songs.  He is always singing songs that we did not realize he remembered.  Sometimes he will start singing a song from a TV show that he has not watched for several weeks.
