Friends of ours were having a bonfire. Eric was very disappointed that he did not get to roast any marshmallows last weekend on the fishing trip. He fell asleep in my lap waiting for Grandpa to get the roasting supplies out of the motor home. When he realized this the next morning, he was very distraught. Mommy and I hoped that the bonfire would make him feel better about the marshmallows. We were all looking forward to some fun.
We drove around, got lost for a few minutes, and finally found our friends’ house. Eric thought the fire was very cool! We cooked hot dogs over the fire and ate lots of great food. After eating his hot dog, Eric ran around with some of the other kids who were playing on the play set and in the rented bouncy house. Soon, he was back to roast a marshmallow. He actually roasted a few marshmallows and made s’mores. Then he was off to run around with the other kids again. He had a great time that evening. He was pretty upset when it was time to go home.
